Step 1: Go to New Items (Top Left Corner)

Step 2: Give it a name and select Freestyle Project. Then select Ok to create

Step 3: Scroll down to build steps, Click add build step and select Execute Shell

Step 4: Click Add build step again, and select Invoke Top level Maven targets, then click save

Step 5: Go to Jenkins Home Page, click on my-jobs, then Click on build now. Then watch the image get built. you can click on the build time below builds by the lower left corner of the screen, then click on Console output to see the build logs

Note:

1. It is better to install tools directly on server, because it is much more flexible than installing tools via plugins. The reason for this is because plugins are limited to provided input fields.

2A. In other for additional tools like nodejs to appear on the tools section, it needs to be installed through plugins first. Go to Plugins, Available plugins, and search for tool name, then install it.

2B. Go back to Tools and the installed tool will appear there. then go on and configure the tool before the tool can be used on projects.
